Reservoir Sprues
After metal is cast it begins to shrink. A large mass of metal cooling can draw or suck metal away from a smaller mass. Have you ever had pitting or porosity or a ring crack where the sprue and ring shank meet?
Reservoir Sprues can help. The reservoir acts as a buffer between the ring shank and sprue not allowing the larger button to draw away from the ring as the casting cools. These sprues can help the quality of your castings.
